A pictorial dictionary

Since Sisters Broder and Will and the rest of the Gang of 500 in Washington seems to be obsessed with the lack of civility in our debate, I thought I would help bring clarity by offering some useful examples of civil and uncivil discourse:

Civil:

Uncivil:

Civil:

Uncivil:

Civil:

Uncivil:

Civil:

Uncivil:

Civil:

Uncivil:

The preceding was a presented as a public service.

It's the fact that you get diverted by the diversions that worries me. Whats up?

Keep your eye on the ball.

Sure -- the civility bit is a diversion. But it is also important to recognize and denounce it as such. The privileged class has many tools at its disposal to try to put us back in our place. Ridicule is one of the better tools at ours, and it is important to remind our side that we should not be cowed by their pearl-clutching. So see this line of attack as a vital boarding up of a stupid side-alley.

Yeah, but in the midway, the sideshow was FOR geeks and it just incidentally contained geeks. Why are we spending brain cells in geek land. If people (the geeks) don't know a diversion for what it is when they see one, how are you going to get them to see it? That seems to be my ongoing question. How?

Hi,
I didnt think of your posting as a diversion, I think of it as a pictorial demonstrating that the MDM has a powerful ability to edit what you see and hear and that it is very important that we remain well aware of it.
Nothing wrong with pointing that out the elephant in the room from time to time.
