Clarification
A number of people seem to be under the mistaken impression that there is still a debate about Iraq. That might have been true as recently as last week, but is certainly no longer the case. Thanks in part to the Baker-Hamilton Commission and Bob Gates, two things are now obvious to all, beyond debate:
1. What we are doing is not working.
2. We are going to keep doing it.
Simple, yes?

Which part of the repudlidemoocraticans were you hoping for sanity from? The odd thing is that neither side has ever been shy about telling you that they WILL screw you just as soon as they take back power from the OTHER guys. So, who gets to express honest surprise?
My original question, way back when, was not "What will they (fill in your favorite group for THEY) do?", but rather "What will you do that has a better than snowball's-chance-in-hell of changing things?"
THAT question has not been touched. Care to give it a shot?

Did anyone really think that the Baker/Hamilton report was going to change Dunce Dubya? He's a petulant, spoiled rotten child, who's dug in his heels, and in full blown temper-tantrum effect will NOT move.
The fact that Gates suggested a dialogue with Iran shows him to be in the Baker camp, and, thus, a more flexible adult than his soon-to-be predecessor.
