Unclear on the concept

Today I received an email from Earth Justice celebrating the fact that the U.S. Senate has just declared May 11 Endangered Species Day. But, as with the Sierra Club's recent endorsement of Republican incumbent Lincoln Chafee, I think they may have missed the point, and their celebration may be unwarranted.

Through sources I cannot disclose, I have been able to obtain a picture of the lunch menu for that day in the private Senate Dining Room:


My source insists that, although it seems to meet all relevant criteria for inclusion, Rove Tartare is unlikely to be an alternate selection.
