Shrub is going to make all the right noises about consulting with Democrats, picking a nominee who will be a uniter, not a divider, etc. And then he will name someone who makes Robert Bork look like Thurgood Marshall.
The far right has been planning a blitzkreig for months, maybe years. We need to gird for battle, and make a stand, here and now.
Volunteer. Send money. Make a fuss. If Bush gets his way now, the victories of the past few weeks, such as they are, will fade away. If we win this one, Bush will be a lame duck for the rest of his miserable term. I really think it is that simple.
So let's not hold anything back.
