Do something

I just made a few calls for the MoveOn GOTV effort. It is very easy. And it will give you something to say when your children or grandchildren ask, "What did you do to stop the madness?"

Oooh- a deleted comment. I'm intrigued. Never seen that before here. Just spam? Or did TA put out a call to arms? ;-)

So I spenta couple of hours hopping between MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News tonight. And I was heading to bed thinking, "It'll be the machines. Tight races, slow counts, and machines. Months from now, the stories will break and the Republicans will claim they are blameless, it was the machines' fault."

I was thinking this because of a.) how frequently machine malfunctions were discussed seriously, b.) because of how often it was joked about, and c.) how many bumper shots they had of voters using touch screens.

Then I did a little blog hopping and found a Greg Palast artile over on Raw Story (links OK? http://www.rawstory.com/showarticle.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gregpalast.com%2Fhow-they-stole-the-mid-term-election)

He says it's already been stolen- or at least been made close enough for the machines to do the rest. I hope he's wrong.

E--

You didn't miss anything--just a bit of posting nonsense by a guy who knew how to type with one hand.

Interesting column by Palast, although I think we've got the margins we need in enough races to get the house and possibly a filibustering core in the senate. I haven't seen Pelosi's first 100 hours, but if election reform isn't there, the rest will be useless. They need to spend the next two years hammering the Republicans to enact reforms that should have been put into place before the 2000 fiasco.
