1) Bush's widely hailed routine with the Bush imitator had much of the same content as Colbert's, i.e. "Bush is an inarticulate, lazy idiot who hates the press." This point has been made widely.
2) Less heard: It is news when someone at a public affair disses the president from ten feet away. It has nothing to do with my politics for me to say that news accounts of a public affair that do not mention one of the main events at that affair are piss-poor news accounts.
